The Cheetah 3 is a Multi-Band Tactical Radio make use of Multi Band and Multi Role software defined radio that is capable of ensure long range secure flexible tactical communications for extended mission times under extreme environmental conditions to as many other forces as possible.

MULTI BAND
The Cheetah3 V covers multiple bands from 30 to 170Mhz, while the extended version Cheetah3 VU covers 30Mhz to 512Mhz.
MULTI ROLE
Having many modulation types as standard on all frequencies makes the Cheetah3 capable of communicating on land, Sea and to Air. It can be interfaced to power Amplifiers and other Cheetah / Leopard1 radios to create Base Stations and repeater rebro-stations.
CARRY ON & MOUNT ON OPTIONS
The Cheetah3 can be carried in various ways, most comfortably would be using a ruck sack strapped tightly onto the back of the soldier which enable hands free operation while carrying or operating a gun or any other equipment while standing, walking or running.
